You can help us achieve our goals and objectives by contacting your local school and government officials, community leaders, legislators, school board members, BESE board members and even the organizations for which you work. Tell them how important the out of school time program is to you and your family. You may use the following talking points as a guide:
Identify yourself as a parent and tell what school /program your child(ren) attend.
Explain why you are writing/emailing/calling.
Describe how the program has benefitted your family.
Tell why you would like the program to continue.
Ask what the person plans to do to help the program continue.
Ask if there is anything you can do to help the program get more funding.
Volunteer your services...
Submit to a background check.
Offer to help in the classroom.
Provide approved snacks.
Locate appropriate field trips.
Share your creativity.
